| Description | A giant wielding a club marked 'Club of Patriotism' chases a tiny Napoleon over the 'Pyrennean Mountains'. Napoleon, carrying a club marked 'Club of Despotism', says:
"Zounds, here he comes with his Seven League Boots, - I must mind he does not overtake me - what a fierce looking fellow it is!!!" Available on CD 158. |

| Further Information | In 1808 Napoleon forced the Spanish prince Ferdinand to return the crown to Carlos IV, and banished the family to Valençay, making his brother Joseph king.
The news from Bayonne that Joseph had been accepted as king led to uprisings at Seville and Cadiz and in Asturias and to the formation of insurgent juntas. On the 23 July the Spanish beat the French at Bailén and Joseph left Madrid for Burgos, plundering the palaces as he left. |
