William Thomas Lewis (?1746-1811) was the son and stepson of actors, he made his debut aged 16 at the Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin. In 1773 he was engaged by Colman for Covent Garden where he stayed for 35 seasons. In 1782 he became the deputy-acting manager there.
He played Mercutio four times in the 1783-1784 season, 5 times in the 1784-1785 season, twice in 1785-1786 and then on 23 Oct 1786, 11 Dec 1786, and 29 Jan 1786. |
