Plan of Mr Prossers new Invented Balloon

Description
A giant balloon in the shape of Sir John Falstaff. In one hand the balloon figure holds a flag, from his other hand is hung a sail, connected to his foot. The basket, or boat is slung between the feet of the figure, and in it are two men facing each other, one of whom is 'rowing' with a pair of wings. A rudder projects from the back of the boat. Available on CD 157.

to be made in the shape of Sir John Falstaff and to be intiteled The Aerial Collosus with which (accompany'd by another Gentleman) he proposes ascending into the atmosphere (when finish'd)

There is no evidence that this balloon could be, or was, built. However, there were balloons made from goldbeaters skin, which could be shaped over moulds, enabling figures to be made.
