Description | Only a few estate papers such as rentals, surveys and valuations have survived. Where they relate to more than one place, they have been placed at the end of this series.
In general, however, this series is arranged by county and by parish. Each section includes title deeds, conveyancing papers and associated papers used for proving title (which may include wills, marriage settlements and pedigrees) and, where available, rentals, surveys, valuations and other estate papers.
Many of the earlier papers do not have an obvious Pares connection but were presumably acquired by the family at the time of purchasing an estate. |
