Administrative History
An Education Committee for Hasland was established in 1903. This Committee was responsible for three Council schools:
Derby Lane Council School in Hasland
Hasland Council School on Eyre Street
Grassmoor Junior Boys Council School (which amalgamated with the Church of England School to form Grassmoor Primary School in 1932).
The schools were taken over by the Borough of Chesterfield in 1910.

This volume was transferred from Chesterfield Local Studies Library in October 2000.
