Parish of Chesterfield Ss Augustines
Administrative History
The parish of Chesterfield Saints Augustine of Hippo and Canterbury became a parish in its own right in 1930. It was formed out of parts of the parishes of Chesterfield St Mary and All Saints and Brampton St Thomas. There was originally an iron church from about 1876 at Derby Lane. The church in Derby Road was dedicated to the Saints Augustine of Hippo and of Cantebury in 1888, and operated as a parochial district of Chesterfield St Mary and All Saints parish until 1930.

These records deposited with Derbyshire Record Office by the parish in April 2000, February 2014, September 2019 and June 2022.
Appraisal
Marriage certificate counterfoils (Mar 1989-Jun 1992), deposited in 2019, were not retained in the permanent archive, 6 July 2022, BS.
