This post has brought me a letter from
Mrs Farquier wherein she informs me with the
melancholy news of Mrs Mundy’s indisposition.
I cannot forgive myself for troubling you with
so many of my letters at such a time But Believe
me, Had the reason of your silence once
entered my Mind I would not have intruded
upon your feelings so much – I sincerely hope Mrs
Mundy’s illness is not dangerous, my Gratefull
respects attend her. I would write her But suppose
a letter from me in her present state would
be conduscive of more pain than pleasure to her
