I came home yesterday My Dear Nelly
much fatigued with my journey & have
in consequence got the headache this
morning but am not otherwise ill. I
inclose you’re a note I rec’d from Miss
Bowdler the night before I left Bath
& will send you all Miss F’s receipts
the next time I wish[?…text unreadable…]
I must do with the remainder of your
money & whether my Brother wou’d
have me continue to pay her Allowance
quarterly I shoud like to pay her the
quarter at least which will be due at
Lady day for I woud do it in presence
of Miss Edgell & see if I coud not
shame her into the payment of a bill
of about 22 shillings for things which

She took of during the time that the
latter was in London, notwithstanding at
all her fine promises to me & her
positive Assertions afterward
that she was not in Debt to anybody
I wish she may now keep her Board
better, but confess I do not expect
it for I believe her quite unprincipled.
I will only add my Love as due
& remain my Dearest Nell,
