Parish of King Sterndale Christ Church
Administrative History
King Sterndale was originally a township in the parochial chapelry of Buxton St John the Baptist (see D1751). The church was erected in 1848. lt became a separate parish in 1851, with the addition of parts of the chapelries of Chelmorton, Taddington, Fairfield and Earl Sterndale. In 1975 it became part of the parish of Buxton with Burbage and King Sterndale.

The records were deposited in the Record Office in December 1997, March 1998 and January 2012.
