| Administrative History | Frank was the eldest son of Francis Tantum Howitt (see D4734/6). He qualified as a doctor, probably in 1859, and established himself at 54 Goldsmith Street, Nottingham. He married Ann Adlington of Mansfield in 1866 (see D4734/34/11). Their children included William Adlington Howitt (see D4734/12), George Adlington Howitt (see D4734/14), Alfred Bakewell Howitt (see D4734/15), Maria Caroline (see D4734/13) and Dorothy (who married Edward Cadbury). |
