Administrative History
The Smallpox Hospital was set up during the First World War at Etwall, and was jointly run by Derby and Burton-on-Trent Boroughs. It was later known as Blakely Hospital and passed to the National Health Service in 1948.
Custodial History
The minute book was deposited in the Derbyshire Record Office in September 1996.
