Administrative History
1911 is the year that a new council school was opened in Whaley Bridge, but these records also include the log book of Whaley Bridge Wesleyan School from 1872. In 1911, staff and pupils of the Wesleyan School transferred to the new council school. This was an all-age school until at least 1953, but was later reorganised as a primary school.
Custodial History
These records were transferred to the Record Office in July 1996 and November 2020.
