Administrative History
The chapel was built on Derby Road in 1906 although the congregation was already well established by then. In 1980 the two Methodist churches on Derby Road ceased to exist as separate societies and joined to form Christ Church Methodist Church.
The Primitive Methodist Church in 1932 joined the Wesleyan Methodist and United Methodist Churches to form the Methodist Church.
