Title
Copy probate to William Alsop of Brassington,gentleman; to his wife Jane Alsop, such of his household goods and furniture as she may select; the remainder of his personal estate to his only son, William Alsop; to his only daughter, Mary, his dwelling house at Brassington, called Great House (tenant Henry Mansfield), a dwelling house in the tenure of John Alsop, two cottages(tenants John Briddon and John Lomas) and closes called the Bents and Chapmans Low, the Yard with buildings thereon, 2 crofts behind the said cottages called Dale Ends with closes called the Sides, charged with the yearly payment of £20 to his wife; to his son William, a messuage wherein the testator now resides and 3 small crofts adjoining, at Brassington a cottage and butcher's shop called Pinfold House (tenants Henry Greatorex and George Wain) with closes called Two Black Furlongs, Thatch Meadow, Ralph Furlongs and Means, three closes called the Spellers, Over Fields or Ballidon Hills and an allotment on Brassington Moor in 9 fields called Round Lows, all at Brassington, with all other his real estate, charged with the payment of £20 yearly to his wife -10 Oct
