Administrative History
Clifton was originally part of the parish of Ashbourne St Oswald (see ref D662). The new church was consecratged in 1845, initially as a district chapelry of Ashbourne. It became a separate parish in 1846. The parish includes Compton.
Custodial History
Some of these records were originally accessioned as part of D662 and were reaccessioned in November 2000. The other records wqer deposited in June 1993.
