Derby Road Primitive Methodist Church, Chesterfield
Administrative History
The Primitive Methodist Church was established in Hawthorne Street off Derby Road in 1898, as part of the Chesterfield First Primitive Methodist Circuit. When the church closed in 1912, the building was taken over by the Wesleyan Methodists who used the building until the present church on Derby Road opened in 1927.
Custodial History
The first records for this church were deposited via the Central (Saltergate) Chesterfield Methodist circuit in 1991 as part of D3458 and re-eaccessioned in 1993. Further records were deposited by the Chesterfield Methodist Circuit in January 2018 and February 2020.
