Probate of will of 17 August 1865 of Emma Jane Longsdon of Little Longstone, spinster, leaving £10 each for ring to Selina, wife of Francis Shaw of Western Bank near Derby, and Elizabeth, wife of George Postlethwaite of Waterloo near Liverpool; painting of interior of a Scotch cottage by Horsley and drawing of a scene on Loch Awe by Thomas Richardson to Revd. Henry John Longsdon of Seacroft near Leeds, clerk; residuary estate to brother Charles James Longsdon formerly of Mount Pleasant, Whiteside County, Illinois, North America, now living in Canada, but if dead to father William Longsdon of Little Longstone, but if dead to H. J. Longsdon in trust to divide equally between his children living at her death. Executors: William Longsdon, Henry John Longsdon and Francis Shaw. 23 March 1874. Death duty and other accounts
