Description
Primitive Methodists had first appeared in the Buxton area in 1835. With the building of the London Road Chapel by 1868, Buxton acquired its own Primitive Methodist Circuit, having previously been covered by the Winster circuit. In 1871 there were societies at Buxton, Flagg, Monyash, Sheldon, Chelmorton and Great Rocks
