Administrative History
The records from William Rhodes (Senior) School cover the history of the school from its opening as a Secondary School for Boys in 1931 through its development into a mixed comprehensive for 11-16 year olds in 1974 and its closure in August 1991 as part of the reorganisation of secondary education in Chesterfield and NE Derbyshire. The school site re-opened in September 1991 as Parkside Community School. Admission Registers and Pupil Record cards for William Rhodes pupils from 1981/1982 have been transferred to the new school.
