Title
W W Worthington Competition
Date
1979-2003
Description
The W W Worthington contest was originally hosted by the Midland Counties Guild. The Guild folded in around 2004 and as the Derby Diocesan Association (DDA) had the most wins in the contest they became custodian of the photograph albums, cup and running contest. The DDA held the contest from 2005-2010 , 2012 and then again in 2017. The cup is named after William Worthington from Burton-on-Trent who was a ringer in the town and was from the brewing family, who had a close association with St Paul's in Burton.
