Title
Milner, Inner Temple, to P.L.G.: has seen Mrs. (J. R.) Green who reports that (John Richard) Green has received P.L.G.'s Arnold essay;
(Arnold) Toynbee advises that P.L.G. should write direct to (J.F.) Bright about Hertford College;
if Macmillans do not take the essay and Oxford does not offer a good post, he would retire to the country and let Green find him some reviewing work until something good turns up.
