Gift by Roger Hawford of Clipston, husbandman, to Henry Hawford of Brentingthorpe, Leics, yeoman, in consideration of £80 of a messuage in Clipston, ½ of the barn adjoining to the structure called the Parlor, a parcel of land called the Fooreyarde, parcel of land called the Rickeyarde, house called the Newtehouse, 3 bays, part of the barn 2 bays, close called the Over End of Bancrofte, two cottages in Bancroft and a moiety of a close called the Over Close, parcel of pasture land called Nine Lees, also a virgate of land in the fields of Newbold and Clipston.
