| Administrative History | Thomas Leonard Ward and his wife Constance started a pig, poultry and fruit farm at Cokhay in 1922 and continued in business until a stock dispersal sale in 1961. Pigs were bred and fattened in permanent grass runs. Chickens were bought in as day-old pullets and reared as free range poultry, primarily for their eggs. Mrs Ward's maiden name was Jackson and these papers include some documents relating to her family. |
| Custodial History | These papers were deposited in the Record Office in March 1986. |
