Administrative History
Members of the Hunter family were prominent in Belper life in the 19th and 20th centuries. In particular, Col. Maurice Hunter was agent to The Strutt estates from the early 20th century until 1937. These papers relate to business and personal family matters and include the Belper weather observations of John Harrison, mid 18th cent (D2912/10) And of John Hunter, 1877-1926 (D2912/23/5).
