Administrative History | Low Leas Farm was a separate farm sold off by the Nightingales estate in the 1920s. It remained a separate farm albeit that for a few years in the 1940s both High Leas and Low Leas were owned by the same person, Frank Hodson. Unlike the case of High Leas (which Mr Hodson still owned when he died – see above), he had sold Low Leas in his life time and the then owner (T N Cartwright) in 1966 sold the farmhouse separately from the land and barns, which R M Beaumont agreed to buy and put it into the name of his wife.
As of 2023, the remaining parts of Low Leas Farm (after sales of barns, Lodge, and other areas) are managed as part of High Leas Farm. |
