Gell wants Philip to pay fees of Gell's promotion to knighthood, believed to be £100, awarded for his execution of lonian mission. Lord Sidmouth has been manager behind the scenes; would Philip write him a letter of thanks Endorsed: note from Mary [Gell], their sister: William's honour quite unexpected; not fitting that he should have title when elder brother has none.
