Reciting inquistion after the death of Sir Richard Harpur, knight, held 23 Sep last past, that Richard Frauncis the elder, esquire, having held the manor of Stanton by Bridge, messuages, lands,etc, lease involving Richard Frauncis and others to Edward Frauncis, of the capital messuage and premises at Stanton for 7 years, lease by Edward Frauncis to Gervase Eire and others for 30 years, 12 Jun 11 James [1613], conveyance to Sir Richard Harpur, his holding the manor on his death on16 April last, the son and heir John Harpur (being aged 17 years 11 months 18 days) became a ward of court but was found to be already married a year before the father's death to Barbara Beaumont (then aged 13), daughter of Sir Henry Beaumont, deceased
