Title
Lease and release (/a and /b) of freehold and copyhold for mortgage with powers of sale by Richard Thompson as at D2148 Z/T3 to Nathaniel Curzon, gent, of Breedon on the Hill, Leicestershire. Recites: lease and release of property in Draycott by Richard Thompson to Thomas Jowett in trust for Richard Thompson (subject to a mortgage of £800 owed to Ann Severn, widow of Elvaston); mortgage as at D2148 Z/T4; conditional surrender (16 Mar 1826) to raise £500, and further charge (13 Mar 1829) to raise £220 of the Breaston property to Nathaniel Curzon. This present mortgage to secure £500. The property: at Draycott, a messuage formerly occupied by John Jowell, the late Antony Gretton, his son Antony Gretton and now by Richard Thompson with "the Homestead" comprising 7 acres. (formerly of Thomas Boswath), except 2 acres 3 roods 23 perches bought by Edward Thompson called Little Bottom Piece, an inclosure plot in Asthill Field (7 acres 3 roods 29 perches) (boundaries given); the property at D2148 Z/T3; copyhold property from Sawley Manor comprising Ten Acre (9 acres 1 rood 36 perches); Willow Spinney (35 perches); Near Pasture Close (3 acres 1 rood 27 perches) and Far Pasture Close (3 acres 3 roods 20 perches) 21-22 Sept
