Parish of Bretby St Wystan
Administrative History
Bretby was formerly a chapelry of Repton. It did not have a licence to perform marriages until the twentieth century. The parish was a united benefice with Newton Solney (fl 1979) and later a united benefice with Winshill, Staffordshire.
Custodial History
These records were deposited by the incumbent of the parish of Newton Solney in April 1979. Further records were deposited by the incumbent of the united benefice of Winshill and Bretby in May 2025.
