Up to 1827, returns of licensed victuallers were made to Quarter Sessions from 1828; a general annual licensing meeting for the division was held, fixed in Aug by the Wine and Beerhouse Act (1869) and changed to Feb in 1902. These records deal with renewals and alterations to licenses
