| Description | Account book recording petrol and subsistence allowances received by miners at various Derbyshire collieries and the Area Workshops between 31 October and 27 November 1984. The collieries include Bolsover, Creswell, Grassmoor, Highmoor, Ireland, Kiveton, Markham, Moorside, Renishaw, Shirebrook, Westthorpe, Whitwell and Williamthorpe. The book covers one month during the Miners' Strike of 1984-85. Highmoor appears to have made a contribution - often £400 - to the fund out of which the allowances were paid. |
