Further information: Symptoms of Meniere's disease'. The appeal was against a 'no loss of faculty' Medical Board assessment. NUM notes: 'Has bad dizzy bouts and a lot of pain (looks ill)'. Neurologist's report: 'The headaches are likely to be due to the injury […] the head injury did not casue concussion and I think that his symptoms are now due to an anxiety state and not directly to the injury'. Letter from Holmes' wife before Tribunal 'My husband won't be attending as he doesn't seem to be able to stand the harrasment of it' and after the Tribunal: 'I would like your advice [...] Do you think it is any good him facing the Local Tribunal' and finally: 'I am writing to thank you for what you have done for us. We shouldn't have got a farthing if it hadn't been for you'
