Description of accident: Tub fouled plate and crushed big toe - traumatic amputation of toe
Further information: Started light work as a store keeper. Locke's statement states that 'Part of the toe was amputated and I was detained for 2 weeks. I was then transferred to Needlewood Hospital for treatment for "nerves and shock" for one week.' There is marked arthritis of the joint. Appeal decision raised extent of disablement from 5 to 10 per cent.
