Description of accident: Injured by a fall of coal on the right knee
Further information: Hope was injured by a fall of coal on his right knee. He was treated with 'tapping and strapping' and was able to return to light work on 27 April 1949. The appeal was against a 15 per cent disablement for life assessment. On appeal this was altered to 20 per cent for 8 months on 16 November 1949.
