Further information: Heeley had an accident on 18 February 1949, following which he had an internal menisectomy operation in June 1949. The assessment of 30 per cent for one year ended on 18 August 1950 and Heeley appealed against the decision of 'no loss of faculty.' The appeal on 27 September 1950 was lost.
