Description	Date of birth: 08/09/1899 Marital status: Not given Address: 11 Robertson's Avenue, Duckmanton Type of injury: Injury - chest Description of accident: Fell off staging whilest releasing lumps of dirt from a crusher Further information: Hebblethwaite had an accident on 25 May 1949 resulting in a chest injury. The first assessment was of 15 per cent disablement from 26 January 1950 to 25 July 1950 and on the second it was reduced to 5 per cent until 24 October 1950. A doctor's note dated 15 December 1949 states the reason for him being incapable of work as being due to abdominal strain. The Medical Board report of 22 June 1950 stated no sign of visible chest injury, but it is noted that Mr Hebblethwaite had chronic bronchitis. His statement in the notice of appeal dated 14 August 1950 mentions that 'I have to take sleeping tablets to be able to sleep at all.' GP letter to Board states' I feel it quite possible that the accident has caused some heart damage and advise that he be examined by a cardiologist'. The case of 31 October 1950 was then 'adjourned for an X-Ray of the heart....shows that this man's condition is due to chronic bronchitis and is in no way due to his accident'
