Description	Date of birth: Marital status: Married Address: Not given, Not given Type of benefit claimed: Injury benefit Type of injury: Buttock injury Further information: According to the Summary of facts on the Appeal referral, the claimant had an accident on 4 May 1959 'whilst loading salvage on to a tub the horse moved forward and salvage caught and injured his right buttock.' He was examined on 17 July 1959 and the Ministry of Health decided that his incapacity for work was not due to his accident. Medical certificates state 'Fibrositis.' The Medical Officer's Report states 'He has recovered from bruised buttock but is now suffering from nerves and premature senility.' According to the claimant's grounds of appeal 'I have tried one day I think it was the 30.6.59 and I could not go again as it affected my legs.' The tribunal on 18 August 1959 found in favour. In the Note of evidence it states 'No power in buttocks and legs. After walking about a bit has to rest. Never previously suffered with his nerves.'
