Shuttlewood Colliery provided wages evidence. Evidence recorded by Chairman: 'Dermatitis […] Can not do this job. Gets nearly clear of the disease and then extra exertion brings it on again' and 'Found it more beneficial with young family to do 3 days work rather than go on 'the club.' Unfit for work in 'hot and dusty atmosphere'.' Claimant: 'I am also suffering from the disease inside my ears at the present time.' 11 December 1956 also given as the Tribunal date in paperwork.
