| Description | Reciting articles of agreement between the said parties, dated 14 December last, for purchase by Taylor of lands as below for £700, of a messuage, garden, croft and backside in Mapleton, two closes commonly called the Goatses (except for a small piece of the smaller belonging to Leeke Okeover), another close adjoining the Lesser Goatses lately enclosed (one land, part of the glebe, excepted), one meadow commonly called the Rayworths, a close recently enclosed on the south side of Church Field (glebe therein excepted), a narrow piece of land between the said close and the Callow, a pingle or meadow in the Dove Field called the Flax Piece, and lately enclosed, and their land on the west side of the river Dove opposite the Flax Piece, one moiety of a Mean Piece of land, all that sedgey piece of land lying in the Old Waters (11/2 acres), one headland in the Dove Field, one tongue of land in Dove Field, a pingle at the bottom of Hinchley Wood, a pingle lately enclosed out of Tibdale, a piece of land lying on and lately enclosed out of Mapleton Callow (13 acres one rood, 15 perches), one piece of land lying at the Moorend part of the said Callow (5 acres, 3 roods, 9 perches) lately enclosed therefrom, one piece of land lying on the Overhill (7 acres, 3 roods, 9 perches) and one piece of land adjoining called the Lewwow Side (one acre, 3 roods, 17 perches). |
