Administrative HistoryThe Matlock Bath Clerical Society was founded in 1816 in the protestant evangelical tradition. Meetings, which consisted mainly of Bible readings and study, were held throughout the Society’s history at the New Bath Hotel. The Society was wound up in 1976.
