Description
Heading: "Day Book Wren Nest Mill June 22 1824":
Entries 1824-1827: appear to be details of goods received and items despatched - mainly yarn/cotton but other items include oil, candles, paper, paint, beans, hops, leather and twine.
Entries April to July 1829: appear to be orders fulfilled with related financial amounts.
Entries August 1829 to 1832 appear to be a daily list of clerical tasks in relation to legal documents: each task has initials, apparently of the individual clerk: J O (identified once as J Oates): W T and J D (not identified). At monthly intervals the list is endorsed "entered" and signed "Thomas Ellison".
Page headed "Mr Mann's Account" with date 1834: contains six entries.
Pages headed "Meat Account": entries May 1836 to November 1848, listing types of meat, personal names and financial amounts; there is a second list with entries 1837-1840 and entries 1843 and 1844 headed "Beef Tickets" with six individual names for each of these two years.
