Description
At front: copy articles of agreement over tithes payable on lands, part in North Wingfield, part in Morton, 1710, with account of parish lands belonging to the repair of the church, 1714 and receipts for rent. At back: list of Quakers etc, unbaptised, 1698-1706. Entries up to 1686 are a copy from PI 1/2. The volume also contains loose pages (PI 1/3/1-3): copy of certain entries 1574-1654 as in 1/2 with note of creation of watercourse and related exchange of land, 1715; 1704-1707, lists of amounts collected, for the poor; receipt for carting, finding metal, and hanging the great bell, 1749
There are a number of interesting entries in the register including references to travellers (for example: 11 Sep 1659, 16 Mar 1683/4 and 1 Jan 1694/5), at least two references to a 'Meretrix' [public prostitute/harlot] and the burial of an excommunicant buried in his own yard on 12 Oct 1679.
