Gift by Hugh son of Laurence Coterel to Peter de Wakebrugge and William his son, for their lives, of all his meadow called le Boghmedwe [Bow Meadow], both that which was ploughed and sown in the time of Laurence his father and the remainder, at Matlok [Matlock] - rent, a rose at St John the Baptist for the first 10 years and 20s. a year thereafter - chief rent 8s a year. Witnesses, Robert de Codington, Henry de Coland, John de Merlache, John Kibbul, Thomas le Boler etc. Dated at Cruch [Crich], Friday after St Hilary, 15 Edward III [19 Jan 1342]
