'I came safe to Brickhill on Saturday night where I heard for certain that Lamb is taken - there was but 100 horse with him and Colonel Inglesby and his regiment from Northampton took him not far from Daventry - Creed and Oker were with him - I am now taking horse to Towcester (Northamptonshire) where I think to be tonight and tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Coventry - I hope to find all well at home and at Coventry'
