This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
The Map to which the Answer hereunto annexed doth referr. [Dispute re - mining rights, north of Eyam village] [17--]18c. Scale: 64 yards or 2 Meer by which this plan is Drawn [1:1150] with dividers. Size: 37 x 135 cm. Materials: coloured ink on paper. Centred on: SK206776 Notes: compass indicator. Mining plan showing 'Twelve Taker Meers in the Middleton Engine vein', 'Defendants Little pasture founder in Ladywash vein' and 'Mineors Engine old Vein' with an Explanation.
