This map is described in the Derbyshire Record Society's "A Catalogue of Local Maps of Derbyshire c.1528–1800" (compiled by Harold Nichols, revised by Mary Wiltshire assisted by Susan Woore, published 2012). The description reads as follows:
A plan of Oden Mine from Gank Mouth to Forefield of the Level with the Several Veins thereunto belonging taken Feby 14th 1765 by Robt. How Surveyor: Robert How. Scale: 32 Foots in one Inch [1:380]. Size: 24 x 75 cm. Materials: ink on paper. Centred on: SK135835 Notes: compass indicator. Simple mining plan, veins named. Location: DRO, D1154 G/LP4
