Title
Lease by Welbeck Abbey to John de Barleburgh of Dukmanton [Duckmanton] and Agnes his wife, of a capital messuage at Dukmanton called le Halle with all lands pertaining thereto, formerly the property of Henry de Dukmanton, which premises, with others were given to the abbey by John and Agnes, for their lives at 43s 4d a year during John's life and 20s a year there- after; to have also a rent of 6 marks for the life of Agatha, mother of Agnes, and after Agatha's death, a rent of 8 marks [nb. the land given to the abbey by John and Agnes is 31 bovates with certain tofts, viz. 1 bovate held by Oliver son of Giles, 1 cottage by John Parson, 2 tofts and 1 bovate by Thomas Halle, 1 toft with croft by Alice de Calale, 1 toft and croft by Robert Scorier, 2 tofts and 3 bovates by John Cooke, 1 toft and 2 bovates by John Pake, 1 toft and 5 bovates by Nicholas Thekeyne, 1 toft and 2 bovates by John Bertrem, 1 croft and 2 selions by Henry Dawson, 2 bovates in the abbey's hands, 1 bovate by Avycia wife of Richard with a toft and 1 bovate, the residue in John and Agnes's hands. ] 10 Aug, 22 Ric II [1398]
