Title
Agreement between the abbot and canons of Welbeck and their freemen of Dukemanton viz, Allan de Brimington, Hugh his son, Geoffrey de Ewedale, John Bulax and Matilda his wife, Laurence son of Robert, Robert son of Hawis, Helewise daughter of Hawise, Richard son of Henry, Henry son of Hugh, Henry son of Miriele, Henry son of Richard, Mathew son of Robert, Roger son of Richard and Hugh son of Geoffrey. The freemen give to the abbey as tithes, all waste land and meadow in 5 parcels of land at the place called Benth, between the boundary of Sutton and the land of Henry son of William, in consideration of which they are quit of all tithes of hay due to the church of St Peter at Dukemanton. The freemen give to the abbey all their land between the boundary of Sutton and the ploughland called Riecroft and all their arable land between the said boundary and the land of Ralf son of Lenieth, for which the abbey releases sheriff's aid, viz, 10s 4d for 4 bovates. Witnesses: Robert de Horstan, knight , Richard chaplain and vicar of Dukemanton, Robert de Winerton etc
