Title
Agreement between the abbot and convent of Welbeck and Hugh son of Hugh de Dugmanton [Duckmanton], made in 1269 - Hugh to quitclaim to the abbey a rent of 4s which he receives for the mill of Dugmanton in consideration of which he and his heirs may grind their corn free of charge viz. all which they have in demesne, which they cultivate with their own ploughs in Dugmanton or buy for the sustenance of themselves and their families, saving to the abbey, suit of mill by all Hugh's men who are also to repair the millpond when necessary - if any of Hugh's land is sold, it shall become chargeable for milling - Hugh and his heirs to be quit of suit of court at Dugman- ton, save at the court next after Michael- mas. Witnesses: Robert le Bretun, Robert de Harhill, knight, Ralf de Rerisby etc
