Title
Grant by Robert de Rerysby, son and heir of Ralf de Rerysby to Beauchief Abbey, of common pasture on the moor of Assovere [Ashover] for their beasts of their grange of Harewode, within the following bounds, - from Serleforkys by Herewardestrete towards the south as far as the way from Derley [Darley] to Schiterly [Shooterslea], thence ascending by Paystonhirst [Peasunhurst] as far as Wyliswode, thence ascending on the south side of Aylewald-esetis as far as the boundary of Walton, descending by the said boundary to Astwode, with freedom from 'eschap' for all their said beasts on the moor of Assovere. Witnesses: Lord William de Steynsby, Knight, Robert le Graunt, John de Brimington, Adam de Tapton, Robert Fraunk, John de Pecco [Peak] of Cesterfeld [Chesterfield], Hugh de Tokysford, clerk of Cesterfeld etc.
